Comprehensive KBMO Food Sensitivity Test In India
If you have ever wondered why certain meals leave you bloated, foggy, fatigued, or breaking out hours or even days later, you are not imagining it. Food sensitivities are real, common, and notoriously difficult to identify on your own, because the symptoms are delayed, overlapping, and often blamed on stress, age, or IBS. Cutting out random foods rarely fixes the problem, and aggressive elimination diets often miss the actual culprits while removing essential nutrients.
At NutraNourish, we use the KBMO FIT Test (Food Inflammation Test), a clinically validated, multi-pathway food sensitivity panel that goes far beyond standard IgG-only testing. The FIT test measures IgG and IgG immune complexes, complement activation (C3d), and gut permeability markers from a single home-collected blood spot sample, eliminating the false positives that plague single-pathway tests. Results are reviewed by Dr. Menka Gupta and turned into a personalised elimination, rotation, and gut-healing plan, so you stop guessing and start eating with confidence.

What is Food Sensitivity?
Food sensitivities cause adverse gastrointestinal responses to certain foods As a result, foods that produce a sensitivity reaction produce symptoms including abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhoea, headaches, fatigue, and skin problems. Unlike an allergic reaction that occurs immediately after eating the food item, sensitivity reactions can take hours or days to occur, making it difficult to pinpoint the offending food without performing a test. Identifying sensitivities through advanced multi-pathway testing (IgG, immune complexes, complement activation, gut permeability) via KBMO/FIT can help you make dietary changes to improve your overall health and reduce any discomfort.
What is a Food Sensitivity Test?
The FIT Test is the most sensitive food test available using patented technology. The multiple pathway approach allows us to measure the whole immune system and looks at not only food sensitivities but also inflammation and gut permeability, all from one test. We also provide best-in-class compliance tools, including a personalized meal plan and a patient app to support. Measuring these multiple pathways enables us to eliminate false positive results commonly associated with IgG-only food sensitivity testing.

Included in FIT 176 & FIT 132
The Gut Barrier Panel helps practitioners differentiate the levels of gut dysfunction, from simple sensitivity to inflammation to more extreme levels of leaky gut. It measures IgG 1-4 /C3d and IgA 1-2 for three important gatekeeper markers. It is included in the FIT 176 and FIT 132 tests.
What is the Meal Plan Add-On?
A customized seven-day meal plan is added to the FIT 132 and FIT 176 tests. Created by our nutrition team, this meal plan is personalized for the patient based on their FIT results and can be accessed through our App along with cross reactivity of foods with details about alternatives and substitutes.
Who Should Take a Food Sensitivity Test?
This test is especially valuable if you fall into any of these groups:
- ✓You experience digestive symptoms (bloating, gas, cramping, constipation, diarrhoea) that come and go without obvious triggers
- ✓You suspect dairy, gluten, eggs, soy, or other common foods are driving your symptoms, but cannot identify which one
- ✓You have been assessed with IBS, but no clear food trigger has been identified
- ✓You have skin conditions such as eczema, acne, psoriasis, hives, or chronic rashes that may be food-driven
- ✓You experience frequent headaches, migraines, or sinus congestion after meals
- ✓ You have unexplained chronic fatigue, brain fog, or poor concentration
- ✓ You experience joint pain, muscle aches, or stiffness that fluctuates with diet
- ✓You have anxiety, mood swings, or depression that may be linked to gut-brain inflammation
- ✓You have an autoimmune condition such as Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or psoriasis
- ✓You suspect leaky gut or have been on a long-term restrictive elimination diet without lasting relief
- ✓You experience unexplained weight gain or struggle to lose weight despite a clean diet
- ✓ You have a child with stomach pain, gut discomfort, behavioural changes, or frequent illness that may be food-related (suitable with practitioner guidance)
- ✓
You have previously done an IgG-only food sensitivity test and got a long list of positives, but no clear results
Food sensitivities accumulate silently and accelerate chronic illness, so testing is especially important for anyone optimising for long-term health rather than just addressing symptoms.

What Will A Food Sensitivity Test Tell Me?
The at-home FIT Food Sensitivity Test gives you a complete, multi-pathway view of your food reactions and gut barrier function. Specifically, it tells you:
Together, these results pinpoint not just which foods you should eliminate but how severely your gut and immune system are reacting, and what is driving the sensitivities at a root-cause level. That is the foundation Dr. Menka uses to build your personalised elimination, rotation, and gut-healing plan.

Posted on Google Shivangini09 RichardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr Menka is an excellent Gut health and longevity expert. She was very thorough with her assessment of the problem I was facing and prepared a detailed customised plan specific to my health condition and treated the diseases from the root cause ..Absolutely recommended. Thanks Doctor for all your help and support.Posted on Google dairhTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Before meeting Dr. Menka, I had consulted numerous specialists from different disciplines in an effort to understand and treat my condition. Over the years, I underwent various tests, received different diagnoses, and was prescribed multiple medications, yet I always felt that the underlying cause of my health issues was never thoroughly investigated. The focus often seemed to be on suppressing the symptoms rather than understanding why they were occurring in the first place. As my symptoms persisted, I became increasingly discouraged and started to lose hope that I would ever find real answers or achieve lasting recovery. Meeting Dr. Menka completely changed my experience. Unlike many healthcare professionals I had been to, she took a comprehensive and holistic approach to my case. She carefully reviewed my medical history, previous investigations, symptoms, medications, lifestyle factors, dietary habits, stress levels, sleep patterns, and overall well-being. Rather than looking at each symptom in isolation, she worked to understand how everything was interconnected. Her treatment plan for me were practical and focused not only on the now but also on long-term health improvement and prevention. Today, I am feeling significantly better than I ever imagined possible before meeting her.Posted on Google Denzal SwooshTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Extremely terrible with gut health, completely clueless in foods and nutrition, always in a rush for time, doesn't read feedback, just copies and paste automated response from weeks ago, i went from nearly being able to heal my gut health to loosing more time and money trying to repair the damage that this clown has done to my gut.Posted on Google Carol fernandezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a functional health practitioner.Posted on Google Prabakar SelvamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I want to thank Dr. Menka Gupta. I was suffering from some health problems and felt very scared, but after seeing her, my condition has been slowly improving. Thank you, doctor!Posted on Google Rajesh HathiramaniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Menka is extremely knowledgeable and helped resolve my issues.Posted on Google nitesh sharmaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Menka Gupta is the most competent functional medicine practitioners in Singapore, uniquely combining conventional medical training with deep functional medicine expertise — a combination that is still relatively rare globally. I initially consulted her for multiple interconnected issues: gut dysbiosis, chronic anxiety, fatty liver, and unexplained weight gain resistant to standard interventions. Rather than taking a symptomatic approach, she recommended a set of advanced functional diagnostics, including comprehensive stool analysis to assess gut microbiota composition (beneficial vs pathogenic bacteria), as well as specialized testing for neurotransmitter pathways and metabolic imbalances. These investigations identified disruptions in serotonin synthesis and conversion pathways, along with broader gut-liver axis dysfunction. Based on these findings, she designed a structured, four-phase gut restoration protocol (typically involving remove, replace, reinoculate, and repair phases), along with targeted nutraceutical and lifestyle interventions to support liver function, hormonal balance, and metabolic health. The outcomes have been significant: • Marked improvement in energy levels and cognitive clarity • Substantial reduction in stress reactivity and anxiety symptoms • Improved hormonal regulation • ~8 kg weight loss over 6 months, achieved sustainably • Overall enhancement in day-to-day performance (including the ability to handle long work hours without burnout) What stands out is her root-cause, systems-based approach, rather than a superficial or symptomatic treatment model. That said, this process requires patient accountability and consistency — the results are directly proportional to how well one adheres to the protocol. I’m genuinely grateful to Dr. Menka Gupta for the measurable and lasting impact she has had on my health and overall quality of life.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the food sensitivity test?
Food sensitivity tests (KBMO / FIT) analyse multiple immune pathways from a finger-prick sample to give you a clear picture of which foods you may be sensitive to. The test is done through a simple finger prick, and the sample is sent to a lab for analysis. The panel can be tailored to your diet including common local foods in Singapore. After identifying your sensitivities, you can plan a targeted elimination diet to relieve your symptoms.
How is a food sensitivity test different from a food allergy test?
Food sensitivity tests identify “delayed” immune reactions through IgG antibody, C3 pathway, and immune complex measurement. Symptoms associated with food sensitivities surface with some time delay for example, bloating that appears hours after consuming the food. Allergy tests, in contrast, identify “immediate” allergic responses that can be life-threatening. Examples of immediate allergic reactions include hives and anaphylaxis.
The KBMO panels are designed for Western diets. How well do they cover Indian dietary staples like dal, paneer, ghee, spices, and Indian wheat varieties?
The FIT 176 panel is the most comprehensive option for Indians and includes most Indian staples: wheat (the closest match for Indian atta), milk and dairy (relevant for paneer, ghee, curd), multiple dal-related legumes (chickpea, lentil, kidney bean, mung bean, soy), basmati rice, mustard, common spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric, ginger, garlic, cardamom, fennel, fenugreek, cinnamon, clove, black pepper, chilli), and tea. The FIT 132 covers the most common Indian triggers but with fewer niche items. The FIT 22 is too basic for an Indian diet. Dr. Menka usually recommends FIT 176 for Indian patients to capture the full picture of dietary triggers.
I am vegetarian/Jain and my diet is already restricted. What if the FIT test shows I am sensitive to dals, paneer, or wheat? Will I be left with nothing to eat?
This is a valid concern and one Dr. Menka takes seriously when building elimination plans for vegetarian and Jain patients. The FIT test is not a permanent diet sentence, it identifies your current sensitivities, which usually reflect gut dysfunction rather than lifelong food bans. Most patients can reintroduce many of their trigger foods within 3 to 6 months once the underlying gut barrier issues are addressed. For vegetarian and Jain diets, Dr. Menka builds rotation plans (eating each trigger food once every 4 days instead of daily), introduces alternative protein sources (other legumes, seeds, nuts, quinoa, amaranth), and uses the customised meal plan to ensure nutritional adequacy. Severe restriction is rarely needed and never long-term.
What foods are tested in the FIT panel?
FIT panels test 22, 132, or 176 foods/additives including staples like rice/spices.
How do food sensitivities affect the body?
If left untreated, the gradual onset of symptoms over time may resemble IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Depending on how long digestion has been compromised, these symptoms could also cause systemic problems including fatigue, joint pain, and headaches ultimately leading to loss of energy and general wellness.
What are the most important facts to know about food sensitivity tests?
The FIT’s multi-pathway approach (IgG, immune complexes, complement activation, and gut barrier markers) is what minimises false positives, the main weakness of simpler IgG-only food sensitivity tests.
How long does it take to get food sensitivity test results?
Results are typically available in approximately 3–4 weeks, delivered as a comprehensive report with sensitivity scores and a personalised meal plan.
