Benefits of Smoothies

Drinking smoothie is an extremely nutritious way to start your morning, they also make a great post workout meal. A glassful provides the right amount of nourishing minerals and vitamins, which our body craves.

Usually, it is difficult to consume the recommended amount of vegetables & fruits during the day and smoothie is an ideal way to ensure that you get those in! Smoothies with right fruit and vegetables are rich sources of antioxidants which may prevent or delay cell damage.

Unlike juicing, smoothies are rich in fiber and ensure that your blood sugar doesn’t spike; this means that nutrients are absorbed slowly. This helps in burning fat and consequently losing weight.

Smoothies are a good way to consume certain superfoods to address your particular health issues. For example, I recommend adding 1-2 tbsp of maca powder to my clients suffering from stress issues. Similarly, those feeling low energy can benefit from 1 tbsp Baobab powder added to their smoothies.

Below is one of my favourite smoothie recipes – I highly recommend this to detox as it provides lots of nutrients which supports liver to detoxify toxins. This is helpful in losing those excess pounds and feeling great.
