FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE explores the root causes of disease and views the body as one whole integrated system. It restores health by addressing the root causes of disease in an individualized, patient-centered, integrated scientific approach.
Chronic diseases are primarily caused by the interaction among genes, food & lifestyle and the environment. A diagnosis can be the result of more than one cause. For example, depression can be caused by many different factors, including inflammation, lack of nutrients or poor gut health. Likewise, a cause such as inflammation can lead to a number of different health issues for example autoimmune diseases, including depression. The precise manifestation of each cause depends on the individual’s genes, environment, and lifestyle, and addressing the right cause will have a lasting benefit beyond symptom suppression.
Poor nutrition, sedentary lifestyles, chronic stress, environmental toxicity, genetic SNPs, exposure to EMF radiations and fragmented social networks are some of the contributing factors towards chronic disease epidemic, in today’s world.

Menka provides nutritional and lifestyle consultations to help individuals, corporates and communities achieve vitality and sustain an optimum balance of health. She strongly believes that food, environment and lifestyle choices make a significant difference to a person’s health. She has worked with individuals with different chronic health issues and has supported them with functional nutritional therapy.
After three years of extensive curriculum and intense training in Nutritional Therapy, Menka gained a Master’s Degree in Personalised Nutrition in the UK. Before this, she has worked as a Medical Doctor in Singapore and London for several years and is now building on this expertise with further training from the Institute for Functional Medicine (USA). She has completed Advanced Practice Modules in Gut health, Hormones, Energy, Cardiometabolic, Immunity & Detoxification from Institute for Functional Medicine . She is a member of British Association of Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and Institute For Functional Medicine (IFM).
Menka practices on the principles of Functional Medicine as she understands that the prevalence of complex, chronic disease is escalating globally. Chronic diseases are diet and lifestyle-related and, so, require dietary and lifestyle solutions. Menka is trained in integrating nutrition assessment at the molecular and cellular levels with emerging research in nutrition and nutritional genomics. These advanced practice skills are essential for preventing and healing chronic disorders.
She is a Certified NLP Coach and believes in an equal, synergistic partnership to help people see beyond what they are today to what they can become tomorrow by working on their beliefs and value system.
Menka has lived in the UK, India and now Singapore and understands the different lifestyles and food habit choices in these countries and incorporates this knowledge in her consultations and individualised food plans.

Stacey Raza holds a MSc in Clinical Nutrition, a BSc in Sports Science, and is a Certified Health Coach and Exercise is Medicine instructor.
Since arriving in Singapore in 2001, she has been an avid supporter of women, executive and family fitness. Read: Busy people with limited time!
After having her own children and running her own business, Stacey witnessed first hand the difficulties many have with maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle for both themselves and their families. She has also seen the health consequences those difficulties can bring and has focused her efforts on providing support and guidance to help make living healthily in a busy world affordable and accessible.
Navigating the complicated and often conflicting information regarding fitness and weight loss can be confusing and distressing. Stacey’s goal is to help those looking to make healthier changes interpret this information and develop a plan that will work for them.
Stacey has always been a fitness enthusiast and promotes a healthy balanced lifestyle through daily exercise and healthy eating. Achieving a healthy lifestyle is not about finding the right diet, it’s about finding the right “life” plan that will work for you now….and for a lifetime.
